Reducing Barriers to Entry for Revitalization Assistance - Women and Youth Info Session
On November 28, SMART held Info Session in Ramallah at the Carmel Hotel for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and start-ups who still have incomplete applications and consider as women or youth managed/owned firms, the goal of this session is to encourage applicants to complete their application for the Private Sector Revitalization Program (REV)and be aware of the cost share incentives for verified women and youth owned/managed firms.
34 firms from West Bank joined in-person, and another 17 firms from Gaza joined the Session remotely. The Deputy Chief of Party welcomed the participants and provided an introduction of SMART project and the REV Program. The Gender Specialist discussed the cost-share incentives. Then the Business Advisors walked participants through the application form, step-by-step, with particular attention to the components that may present a barrier to completion or render the application non-compliant. Later, the participants were separated into groups to address their questions and address the individual needs of each applicant.
The REV Application window will close on December 2022. The SMART Project encourages every eligible SME and start-up to apply for this opportunity and seeks to ensure that no applicants, especially not women and youth, are deterred from the application process by unanswered questions or unresolved administrative challenges.
